When we first saw the plot, we decided there and then to design each room of the villa around each view, in most cases more than one view. The plot dictated the design, as it always should, and nowhere is this philosophy more relevant than on this particular site. The main living room is split into two areas, one being the formal lounge with east and south views, and the other being the kitchen with west and south views. The interior design and decoration of the house has been done subject to the views. It’s a high lounge, measuring 5.5 metres, and the furniture is low. Everything in the house complements the views, from the simplicity of its minimalist architecture to the low-key contrast of tones throughout the inside. When standing behind the island in the kitchen, you can enjoy the same views as in the sitting room.
